Betty June Vinyard

Betty June Vinyard, 64, of Fort Myers, Fl., formerly of Harrisburg, IL., died Friday, April 19, 2002 at Hope Hospice House in Fort Myers.

She was born on April 28, 1937 in Harrisburg to the late Robert I. and Francis B. (Baker) Vinyard.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Allen A. & Michele D. Vinyard, 44, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren, Mallorie N. Vinyard, 18 and Alexandra M. Vinyard, 9; two sisters, Etta R. & Edward Carter of Anderson, IN; Alice D. Navin of Batavia, IL; one bother, Kenneth H. & Emma Vinyard of Independence, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert I. and Francis B. (Baker)Vinyard and her two sisters, Mary Duncan and Maxine Rambis.

She was a former waitress in Harrisburg and worked at Norge-Fedders Corp in Herrin IL.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. at Covenant Community Ministries Church in Fort Myers, FL. The Rev. Tom Sterbens will officiate.

The family is planning a memorial in Harrisburg in May at the gravesite of her parents at Coffee Cemetery at Somerset.

Graveside services will precede burial 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002 at Coffee Cemetery with the Rev. Art Donley officiating. The body has been cremated. J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home of Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
